David Reed, Director of Sales & Marketing

1. How long have you worked at Scottsdale Resort? 36 years
2. When you first began at the resort, which department did you start in?
I started in the Sales Department.
3. What do you love about the resort?
Repeat customers – I grew up with clients that started in Sales and worked their way to the CEO or other senior management positions.
4. Where did you grow up? North Phoenix – I’m a native Arizonan.
5. What is your favorite hobby? GOLF!

Paul Bashaw, Director of Sales

1. How long have you worked at Scottsdale Resort? 20 years
2. What is your Region/Market? New York
3. When you first began at the resort, which department did you start in?
I started in the Sports & Fitness Center.
4. What do you love about the resort? My favorite aspect of the property is that I love coming to work everyday with my friends and providing the best service for our guests.
5. Where did you grow up? Syracuse and Watertown, NY
6. What is your favorite hobby? Syracuse Sports...Go Cuse!

Steve Frantz - National Accounts Manager

3. When you first began at the resort, which department did you start in? I started in Room Service.
4. What do you love about the resort? The staff is truly a team with a common goal of hosting successful meeting through partnership with our clients.
5. Where did you grow up? Iowa City, Iowa (Home of the Hawkeyes)
6. What is your favorite hobby? Golf and weight training

Kate Bashaw - National Accounts Manager

1. How long have you worked at Scottsdale Resort? 6 years
2. What is your Region/Market? SMERF, Sports Government and Associations falling under SMERF category
3. When you first began at the resort, which department did you start in? I began in the Catering Department.
4. What do you love about the resort? The overall "feel", it is unlike any other property I have been to. From the hacienda/southwestern décor and outdoor loggias, to our staff. You know you are in Arizona and received the best service when you are here!
5. Where did you grow up? Suburb of Chicago, IL
6. What is your favorite hobby? Spending time with my family and friends

Gordon Carmosino - Director of National Accounts

 1. How long have you worked at Scottsdale Resort? I've been at Scottsdale Resort for 12 years, and with Benchmark Management for 21 years.
2. What is your Region/Market? Mid Atlantic and Northeast
3. When you first began at the resort, which department did you start in? I began in Room Service.
4. What do you love about the resort? The longevity of the staff. It is a family environment and each client is welcomed into our family.
5. Where did you grow up? Philadelphia/Northern Virginia
6. What is your favorite hobby? Golf and spending time with my family and friends.

John Edwards - Director of National Accounts

3. When you first began at the resort, which department did you start in? I started in the Dining Room.
4. What do you love about the resort? Our facility is unique as it is a truly a conference center, able to accommodate all of a client's needs. We are very meeting-oriented.
5. Where did you grow up? I am an Arizona native.

Scott Sutherland - Director of National Accounts

1. How long have you worked at Scottsdale Resort? 27 happy years
2. What is your Region/Market? West Coast, Alaska, Idaho, South & North Dakota, Montana and South Carolina
3. When you first began at the resort, which department did you start in? Transportation Desk
4. What do you love about the resort? I enjoy welcoming back my clients as friends year after year with our 95% repeat business. Our seasoned, long-term employees deliver the best world class service to our clients.

6. What are your favorite hobbies? MLB Baseball, Weight training and volunteering for the USO and Rescue a Golden Retriever 8

David Sneider - Director of National Accounts

1. How long have you worked at Scottsdale Resort? 21 years
2. What is your Region/Market? Midwest Region
3. When you first began at the resort, which department did you start in? I started at the Bell Desk in 1990, while attending Arizona State University.
4. What do you love about the resort? The people I work with, I've basically grown up with a number of my fellow employees.
5. Where did you grow up? I was born in Colorado Springs; however, I've been in Arizona for most of my life.
6. What is your favorite hobby? When I have time, I really enjoy golf. I'm a big fan of baseball and hockey.
